Over the 25+ years of her career, Jan has served on many nonprofit and private enterprise boards. Working with nonprofit organizations is what she feels she does best and enjoys the most. She decided that she needed to share her experience and give back to our community in some way. Caring for and helping animals is a lifelong passion.
Jan has been loving life on the Olympic Peninsula for the past two years with her husband, Dean, two rescue dogs and one cat (11 y/o Black lab, 6 y/o Great Dane and a bossy 12 y/o gray tabby) – they lead an exciting life! Jan and Dean are semi-retired and enjoy their hobbies of gardening, traveling, DIY projects, knitting and painting Barn Quilts. Jan has two wonderful children- each successful in their own pursuit of happiness. Jan's son is in Los Angeles and her daughter is outside of Anchorage. Their family all share a love for animals- all of her grand puppies and kitties are rescues too!
