Volunteer Spotlight #4

Meet Kevin! Kevin has been volunteering with OPHS since the fall of 2022.
When asked what keeps him coming in to work with the animals: his love of animals and having adopted many dogs from other Humane Society offices over the years. Kevin's primary volunteer duties involve dog handling, dog enrichment, and assisting at the SNAP clinics.

Kevin's response when asked "What is your favorite thing about volunteering with OPHS?" Seeing the dogs get adopted, meeting the new dogs, and helping them adapt to the chaos and unfamiliarity of the shelter. Especially the ones that are so afraid and partially shut down. I enjoy seeing them respond to the love and care they get at OPHS. Kevin and his wife have 2 dogs that share their home: Mocha, and 18.5 year old chocolate labrador adopted from the Honolulu Humane Society and their newest addition is (foster failure) Phoenix, a 2 year old German Shepherd mix. Kevin is a wonderful addition to our Volunteer team!
